Inappropriate?Call your local Apple Tech or go to the Apple Store. You may need to buy a keyboard repair kit usually about $29 for a full set of keys.
You can also try cleaning it with compressed Air and a little swab with alcohol.

Inappropriate?hi. i have this problem too. first the left hift stopped working with the QWERTYUI letters. then it stopped working completely. and now it's the right shitf and the enter key. as you can see i can't type capital letters. i've been reading about it on the web and while some claim it's a leopard problem, other sayd it's a hardware problem and i need to have my keyboard replaced. any ideas -no question mark either as it needs shift-
I’m very disappointed

Inappropriate?Hi, I've got a macbook intel and have the same problem (both shift keys and enter key not working). I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard Snow, which did not change anything to it. I installed the "keyboard patch" hoping it would resolve the problem, but did not. I turned off all "Universal accessibility" options and disabled all other keyboard related special features, but did not change anything either. After checking many forums and general information on the net for resolution, I still do not have a clear answer. A guy from the apple store told me it's a keyboard fault and needs replacement. At this stage I guess that it is probably more a hardward problem, than a software. Although in that case I don't understand why the 2 shift keys (extrem left and extrem right hand-side of the keyboard, respectively) would not work, while all the others are doing just fine (except for enter key of course)...
Please, help!!! No more ideas!! -
Inappropriate?I can suggest you just call to Apple Tech helpline. They will solve your problem.
