Push not working in the iPhone app
I'm not receiving push notifications with the iPhone app, though all other apps seem to push fine.

We enable push notifications of friend updates, which we call "pings."
Pings deliver a message to your phone whenever your friends check in at a new location, whether you’re using the app or not. Now, instead of your friends having to actively look up the last place from which you checked in, they can get "pushed" a message about your new whereabouts. In order to receive pings, make sure that you have turned on this option in your iPhone settings AND in foursquare settings. Then, to double check, go to your Friends listing on the site and make sure you have checked the "pings" box for each friend you want to get push notifications from.
We include controls for turning push notifications off for certain users, or just turning it off completely. To stop receiving messages from a specific person, tap their name on the "Friends" screen and tap the "Pings" button. To stop receiving pings altogether, go to your phone's Settings screen >> make sure that "Notifications" are "Off".
We recently had an issue where push notifications were temporarily not working but things should be fine now!
Cheers,
A

Inappropriate?I have all the correct settings but I don't get notifications. I have a 3GS, my friend has a 3G and notifications aren't working for them either.
-
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. They used to work but have stopped - I didn't notice until recently though so I don't know if it happend with a phone update or an update or something else.
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I'm using Foursquare on my iPhone and I have enabled push notifications from my settings. Still, I never get a notification when some of my friends checks in. I haven't got a single push notification from Foursquare. Push notifications from other applications work just fine. What could be the source of the problem?

Inappropriate? My iPhone push notifications don't work. They never have, as far as I know. I've confirmed all settings. Anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?

iPhone Push Notifications Not Working.
I’m perplexed.

Inappropriate?I was able to solve this problem by logging out and then logging back in on my iPhone app. Seems to be working now. Although, I only get pings from people in my city. I think that must be how it's supposed to work?

Inappropriate?@ Greg
I only get pings from people in my city too. It looks like that is how it is supposed to work.
It's a bad setup, if you allow users to turn pings on/off by user, why can't I choose to get updates from people in near by cities.
Please fix this FourSquare. -
