How do I input link like text without it creating a hyperlink
I am trying to add a reply containing the text
@@|http://*.liverail.com/*$domain=seesaw...
However (as above) get satisfaction thinks it is a link. I have tried wrapping it in a code, pre and blockquote block and it still does it. How do I stop it doing this?
See for the example http://www.getsatisfaction.com/seesaw...

Inappropriate?hm - I don't know that that's always been the case, but if you don't add http:// part, maybe that'll work better for your purposes?
EG:
nytimes.com -
Inappropriate?I can't not add the http: bit. I am trying to tell an customer how to set up their adblock plugin to not block our site. It needs the percise syntax :(
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?so you need the link, but you don't want them to be able to click it? Just to copy it to their browser?
how about separating with a space?
EG: http:// nytimes.com
Then they could back-space it out?
I’m question-mark crazy today?
-
Inappropriate? The problem is I am trying to write 'easy' instructions to paste this 'url' like thing into the firefox settings. If I put a space in it - they will have to remove the space.
Do you have an 'escape' syntax (like most wiki like editors have) to tell it not to try and make it a hyperlink? -
Inappropriate? You have to use escape characters for the colon slash slash and the dots: http://www.getsatisfaction.com
colon (:) = :
slash (/) = /
dot (.) = /
This is rather annoying, and I hope to provide a better solution in the future, but that's the path for now.
