Paypal "pending" transactions show as deposits in auto-import
Auto-import just started working on our PayPal account, but I notice that it is counting invoices we have sent out that are still pending payment as deposits in the Less Accounting system, even though we have not received the money yet.

Hi. This issue has just been resolved. It should stop happening as of tonight. Please send me an email dejan@lesseverything.com if you need help with deleting of existing duplicated transactions.

My apologies for being unclear; once it's paid, then it SHOULD show up, and there's no problem. Before it is paid, or if for some reason it is never paid, it's a problem that it shows up as a deposit, since the actual money is not in the account. Right now it looks just like all the completed payments, which makes it difficult to either balance or follow up with collections. -
Inappropriate?Just another update on this, don't know if the information is helpful or not... this morning, the unpaid invoice line item is showing up twice as two separate payments, although according to Paypal it has still not been paid even once.

Another bit of information for you that might provide a clue... the transaction has appeared once again, for a total of three times as a payment, though it still has not been paid. It looks as if it is coming in as a new transaction every time the import process runs. It also looks as if I can just go in and delete it each time, for now, but that's only because I happen to know that this one is not a genuine payment... without cross-checking all transactions in the future I wouldn't know which were genuine payments and which were phantoms such as this. -

Thanks Eugen... I can't really tell at the moment since the auto-import features seems to still be intermittently broken as well. Ours hasn't worked since the 17th. The next time it actually updates, I'll go in and confirm this for you. Thanks for working on it! -

Hi Steven; again, I'm roadblocked by all the import problems from trying that. I did try, but although I stopped the auto-syncing successfully, I can't get it set up again--I get the same credentials error (reported in another topic already) I ran into originally when attempting to set up auto-sync with our bank accounts. It took about a week of retrying to get it set up in the first place, which I don't think I will go through again... if you get the auto-import stuff ironed out before my free trial expires, then I'll set this account up and report back on the pending transactions fix. -
Inappropriate?Also... I just went in and tried to delete all the duplicates of this transaction that had imported, and they can't be removed. I went in through the G/L transactions, checked the boxes next to the items to delete, hit the "Delete" button, confirmed the confirmation, and they disappeared from the screen. However, if I went out to the dashboard I noticed the account balance remained the same, and going back in and viewing transactions, all those I had deleted were there again.

Inappropriate?Okay, now that bank account setup and auto-syncing is fixed, I have re-added the Paypal account and it has NOT re-imported the unpaid bill again, so that appears to be fixed. I'm still unable to delete the records that it had imported previously, but I'll start a separate thread for that issue. Thanks for addressing the unpaid bill problem.

Inappropriate?Apparently I spoke too soon--this transaction has re-appeared again in last night's import. However, all my other Paypal transactions have been duplicated as well, so it may be a separate issue. I'll report that separately.

A Contractor sends me an invoice via PayPal and the Invoice appears in my transaction list as a deposit.
