Control the amount of sharing on twitter and facebook
I love having the auto-updates to twitter and facebook, but I want to be able to control what I share...I don't really want to spam my accounts with the fact that I updated my goals, for instance.

i had sharing on, but after creating goals and stuff,, i realized i was spamming facebook and twitter..and turned off the sharing. there should be a button next to runs that says "share this run on facebook or twitter" so users can choose what they share instead of auto sharing

Inappropriate? It would be great to have this function! I don't trash talk in challenges anymore because I know it will be posted to my facebook (some people think this is for the better, but whatever)
I’m interested

Inappropriate? Not having any control of what information gets shared nor any idea of what it might be is very poor user experience. Show people what types of things would be posted and give them the option to opt in/out. I want to post run times but not when I add a new goal.
I’m concerned

Inappropriate?100%... I didn't know I was sharing everything either and it started spamming my facebook. My sister gets my status updates on her cellphone and at 3AM it was spamming her phone as well! I had no idea my "I set a goal" was changing my facebook status to the same! Why would I want that to be my status!!!! I definitely want to share my runs and even my records set - i.e. Personal best 10K - but NOT everything!!!
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Sharing runs is good, but I wish there was a way to stop it from also sharing the notes that I put with the runs. If I write that chafing slowed me down, I want to keep that to myself and not share it with the world, lol!

OH NO! does it? I knew I shouldnt have made that comment about the good looking girl on the horse! -
Inappropriate?I agree. I also disabled the sharing.

Inappropriate?it would be nice to share that i ran, but have the option to keep the details (such as pace) to myself. No one needs to see how slow i am, but it would be cool to just have an update "uploaded a 4 mile run" or something -- Again, with the option of not including time/pace if i don't want to.
-
I.m really slow too Aimee, but just doing it is better than most people, I have real problems with balance and a trapped nerve, the only person to compete against is really yourself, perhaps a percentage improvement scale would be more - informative without specifics, hey even my Doctor could look at it if she wanted to! -
Inappropriate?Totally agree. It would be nice if it would post times, data, etc. to a small space on Facebook, but not to the status! I got a lot of crap for 2 days of inadvertent FB spam...

Inappropriate?I agree. I would like to separate out the various options for the Mini, for instance. I'd like to use it on my Facebook and my screensaver. But, my friends don't want to have every run sent out to them. So as a result, i have opted out of using it altogether, and I really liked it on my screensaver as a motivational tool. Bummer. It is a "Share all or share none" option right now.

Inappropriate? The Facebook/Nike Run development tools would provide all of these as options to publish. It's just up to the Nike team to add the switches to the user. Not a hard fix at all. I would use it if I could choose what was published as well. If more are using it then Nike wins through FB and Twitter viral connections. No brainer.

Inappropriate?I would love the ability to have just post one update to Facebook a week. Say a summery of how many miles I ran this week and/or how many days I ran. Just one post a week. Any more then that is spamming.
-
Inappropriate?I had to turn it off as well, a button next to the run to publish or not would work best, I exercise nearly every day, even if i only walk, (mud gets to about 4 inches deep) when really wet. I vote for a button, but dont think Nike listens anymore.
I’m thinking Nike needs a hearing aid.
