My nano is corrupted and I can't sync my runs!

I have some runs on my nano that I can't sync. When I plugged my nano the other day it said the ipod was corrupted and needed to be restored...well if I restore I lose my info but I can't get it to upload either. I have an iPod touch also but I can't get the info from the nano to it either. Does anyone know how to get the information off the nano???
