A comment on the question "Why Does Verizon Charge?" in Loopt:
Aleshea - Just FYI, there is no charge for Loopt on Verizon BlackBerries or Android devices like the Droid and Eris. The charge only applies to Verizon's other phones. – LooptChris, on February 01, 2010 22:11

Hi Mark,
Thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the trouble. There was an issue with the App World files. It should be resolved very soon. In the meantime, you should be able to obtain the latest build by going to www.loopt.com in your BlackBerry browser.

Hi. It sounds like you need to reset your link to Facebook. To do so, visit the link below on your computer, login, and then choose the option at the bottom of the page to Disable the Facebook link, then Re-Enable it and set your desired options.

A comment on the question "Blackberry Storm location accuracy????" in Loopt:
I think it will continue to get better over time. Our next build should make things a bit better, and there's a chance we will have access to better location info soon.

A comment on the problem "Wi-fi support??" in Loopt:
Tim - You're right that on some 8900's, WiFi only access isn't available. On some of the 8900's, it will only work with BlackBerry OS 5, and even then, some of the wireless companies restrict WiFi-only applications in the device firmware. – LooptChris, on January 15, 2010 04:11
LooptChris made a comment on "Wi-fi support??", but it was removed. see the change log

A comment on the question "Blackberry Storm location accuracy????" in Loopt:
Jack - GPS needs to be turned on and the device needs to have access to the network via Verizon or WiFi. Accuracy of Loopt locations on Verizon isn't very good right now because Verizon restricts access to best available location. Only certain providers can use it. We can only post our best available location, which is most accurate if you're outdoors and can get a good GPS signal. Otherwise it can be up to a mile or more off.

In the latest version, select a friend from the Friends section, then hit the Menu key (left of the trackball/pad). It will bring up a menu that should include ping. – LooptChris, on January 10, 2010 23:56
