Marc LaFountain replied on February 08, 2010 12:30 to the problem "tumblr not recognising my email for login" in Tumblr:
To anyone having login issues:
Make sure you are carefully typing your email address and password at sign up and at login. Make sure your caps lock key and num lock key are off when typing.
See if resetting your password at http://www.tumblr.com/forgot_password helps.
See if clearing/deleting your web browser's cookies for Tumblr.com helps.
See if clearing your web browser's cache / offline files / temporary internet files helps.
If you still cannot login, please email support@tumblr.com from the registered email address for your Tumblr account. Please include the web address of your Tumblr blog in the message.
Due to the private nature of account login credentials, we cannot troubleshoot login issues in a public forum like this one.
Thanks!

Marc LaFountain replied on February 08, 2010 12:22 to the problem "Linkback on reblogs going to wrong tumblelog" in Tumblr:
I just did a test reblog and it worked correctly. Perhaps there was a temporary URL configuration issue or a temporary database issue. Please email support@tumblr.com if problems persist with new reblogs.

Marc LaFountain replied on February 01, 2010 22:43 to the question "Why can't i turn my pictures from horizontal to vertical?" in Tumblr:
Tumblr does not rotate images. Perhaps you are importing the original version of a photo rather than the version you've rotated in your photo application. Or, perhaps you are using an application (such as Preview on Mac OS X) that marks images as being rotated rather than actually rotating the images.
Use an application that actually rotes images to rotate your image. Then, export the rotated photo to the Desktop and then upload that version to Tumblr.

A comment on the problem "You've exceeded your daily photo upload limit (What's the limit?)" in Tumblr:
That error message relates to a limit on question posts, not images.

Marc LaFountain replied on January 28, 2010 14:36 to the question "Is there a way to make an "album cover" for tumblr photosets?" in Tumblr:
A multi-image Photo post will automatically be made into a Flash-based photoset.
If that doesn't meet your needs, you can create multiple Photo posts that each just have one image. Or, you can create a Text post and upload multiple images to that post.

Are you running any security/firewall/proxy software on your computer that would block Tumblr or block Amazon S3?

Marc LaFountain replied on January 26, 2010 03:37 to the problem "Problem with turning off custom domain use for Tumblr" in Tumblr:
Tumblr has no control over your domain's A Record. You would have to ask your domain name provider for help in changing it.

A comment on the problem "No Description for Yahoo Pipes RSS Feed Imported as Link?" in Tumblr:
It now has items for me. Perhaps the Twitter API wasn't available when I tried to run the Pipe last time.

Marc LaFountain replied on January 24, 2010 19:41 to the question "How the heck do you embed tumblr into your website!?" in Tumblr:
The javascript embed for Tumblr doesn't include Disqus data or posts dates. You could try embedding your actual blog page in a frame on your website if you need those features.

Marc LaFountain replied on January 24, 2010 19:40 to the question "How do I add audio to my tumblr theme?" in Tumblr:
You can create an Audio post by clicking the Audio icon at http://tumblr.com/dashboard.
You can add a third-party audio player widget in the Customize area for your blog either in the Description on the Info tab or in the Custom HTML on the Theme tab.
Thanks!

Hello! First, that feed currently appears to be empty, so add something to the feed. Next, try importing as Links with Summaries and see if that helps.

Hi, Darien. That is not possible at this time. But, I will share your request with our developers. Thanks!

Marc LaFountain replied on January 19, 2010 13:50 to the question "Can your followers see your deleted posts in their dashboard?" in Tumblr:
Deleted posts are removed from your Dashboard and RSS feed. But, reblogs that were made before deletion remain and many RSS readers keep cached copies of feeds and so may have copies of deleted posts.
